Our hospital stay was unfortunately pretty stressful since the little guy was unable to room-in with us due to a possible infection. Towards the end of delivery I ran a fever and my doctor was worried that I had an infection that could have been passed to him. For precautionary measures, they had to immediately take him to the level II nursery to be started on antibiotics. It was so heartbreaking to see him on an IV and other monitors. His test results came back negative, so there was no infection afterall.
Needless to say, we are extremely happy to be home and it's such an amazing feeling to be a mommy! Here are some pictures from the first days of his life...
