22 weeks and counting

I am 22 weeks and well into my second trimester. So far the pregnancy has been great! Well...kind of. I've heard worse pregnancy stories, so I am just going to say that I have been very fortunate. We'll leave it at that.

As most of you know...we are expecting a little boy! He has been growing non-stop and there is no way of hiding this!! I feel like everyday when I wake up my belly is bigger. It is amazing. There is no way I would fit into that wedding dress at this point! ;-)

We had a 3D and 4D ultrasound a couple of weeks ago and the little guy would not stop moving! We saw him do a range of activities like put his foot in his mouth, stretch his legs and feet over his head, cross his legs, put his hands together and when we tried to get a few head shots of him he showed his bashful side as he covered his little face with his paws! He's already showing signs of being just like daddy...no pictures please.

I can already tell that he loves movement, and I think my dance aerobics are to blame! He also loves music and we know this because whenever we put the headphones on my belly he can't stay still. It's pretty neat! We joke about him having rhythm...both of his parents have it, how can he not?! If he's anything like his parents, he is going to be a dancing fool!

The sonographer told us that he is in the 70th percentile as far as size goes. At the ultrasound he weighed 13 oz...almost a whopping one pound! I'm sure he must weigh at least a pound now, since our last ultrasound was two weeks ago. This first picture is the confirmation that he is indeed a boy. The one next to it is his little foot! You can see him being a bashful little one in those bottom two photos.
